Run For Hope Singapore 2008

with one comment

I participated in my first non-SAF externally organised run today!
Run For Hope Singapore 2008!
The Run is organised by The Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and The Regent Singapore, with the National Cancer Centre Singapore to raise funds for cancer research in Singapore. This year’s run was held at East Coast Park.
Flag off timings: 10km – 7.45am
4km – 8am

The virgin runners ~ well except the 3 on the top row.

Start!!!

Most of us are first-timers, apart from Heng Hiang, Peng Yan and Sebastian. We took part in the 10km run. Personally, I joined the event to get an insight on what it feels like to run an externally organised run at my own pace, and to gauge myself and the effectiveness of my supposed running regime. It didn’t matter or make much of a difference that this is a charity run, and that it is non-competitive, because on the ground, I run my own race at my own pace. Surprisingly, I broke my past records for 10km which were between 50+min to 60min, clocking an approx. timing of between 45-50min!

The fastest 3 in our group to finish! HEY! I’m one of them!~

I was running behind Kwee Haan throughout the whole run; actually had a stich for the middle 60% of the run. Anyway he was nice enough to wait up for me, and we sprinted in the last 100m together!

All finished!

  1. Have you sign up for this year run?

This year is very special, as you will get to dine, drink, massage or fly with value worth over $200 for a registration fee of only $35.

As long as you can gather a group of 10, you can enjoy 10% discount.

I look forward to you continue the tradition of making it as your annual run.

Visit http://go.to/run to sign up and have fun.
